Sinus Lifting
This procedure is performed when there is insufficient bone beneath the sinus cavity to ensure adequate bone volume before implant placement in the upper jaw, particularly in the area surrounding the molars. The sinus cavity is elevated, a bone graft is placed, and the appropriate bone volume for the implant is achieved. There are both open and closed sinus lifts. Your doctor will determine which procedure is appropriate after an examination. Recovery for an open lift is typically 4-6 months, while for a closed lift, 3-4 months is required.
Things To Consider After Surgery:
Smoking should not be done, and pressure-creating actions such as blowing one's nose and sneezing should be avoided.
