Masseter Botox
Injecting botulinum toxin into the masseter muscle, one of our chewing muscles, prevents the muscle from overworking. This treatment can be used for therapeutic purposes in patients with teeth grinding problems or for aesthetic purposes to slim the face.
How Is Masseter Botox Applied?
The injection is administered at specific points on the masseter muscle. Anesthesia is not required; cold application is the only option. The effects begin within 4-10 days, with maximum effects occurring within 4-6 weeks. The effects last for 4-6 months, and their longevity increases with regular repetition.
