Fiber Post Application

Fiber Post Application

Fiber post placement is a procedure used to restore a tooth when a large portion of it has been lost. It is generally preferred for teeth that have undergone root canal treatment and have insufficient remaining tooth tissue. Space is created in the root of a tooth that has completed root canal treatment for a post. A fiber post of the appropriate length and diameter is selected, and then secured to the root canal with special adhesives. Once the post is in place, the tooth is ready for restoration.
