Root Canal Treatment
Root canal treatment is the process of removing infected pulp (nerve) tissue. The canals are disinfected and filled with a special filling material. If the nerve tissue is inflamed due to deep decay, if there is an infection at the root apex, or if the tooth has a crack or fracture, root canal treatment is performed. Treatment is performed in a single or multiple sessions. In cases where multiple sessions are required, the tooth is covered with a temporary filling.
