Bone Powder Application (Graft)
Graft is used in implant treatment when there isn't enough bone volume. If a long period has passed since tooth extraction and bone loss has occurred, if the bone in the upper jaw is very close to the sinus cavity, or if the bone height or thickness in the implant area is low, we use bone graft. Implant placement typically takes 3-6 months after bone graft application, but there's also the possibility of bone graft being used during implant placement. Smoking and infection can reduce the success of the graft. Grafting increases implant stability and improves aesthetic and functional success.
